All rates are in Canadian dollars. Nova Scotia charges a sales tax of 15%.  Rates subject to change.

Until a confirmation is made with the Ovens Staff, no reservations are completed and official. You can e-mail us at info@ovenspark.com or call at 902-766-4621 and someone will get back to you ASAP.

Early reservation for camping and cabins is recommended to avoid disappointment.  Whilst all attempts will be made to hold to the above prices, they may be subject to change without notice. Pets are welcome in several camping cabins and in the campground, a small fee required.   All cabins are non-smoking.  There is a small fee for extra persons staying in cabins as well as the camp sites (see rates page).  Enjoy your stay, however please note: Be kind to our property, you will be charged for stolen items and any damage to the Ovens Park as well as excessive garbage left on your site or in the fire pits. It is strongly suggested that all overnight guests have a reservation prior to arrival.

Ovens Park Policy for all Patrons as of : April 2022

• Full payment is due in advance and processed at the time your reservation is made (visa or mastercard only).

• All campers, including non-reservation walk-in campers, must have a valid visa or mastercard.

• All reservations are subject to an $12 non-refundable reservation fee.

• Guests have 48 hours from the time reservation is made to change plans or cancel, refund will be given at that time, less an $8 Administration fee. After that date we can change the dates for you (administration fee applicable) at the time the initial call is made (sorry no refunds).

• We do not issue refunds for early departures, same day cancellations, discomforts of nature or campfire bans

• If there is a change in your reservation, please notify the office before you check in because no refunds are given after your stay with us has begun (administration fee applies).

• Fire pits are on each site and are there for your enjoyment, please do not remove or build others on the site. Campfires cannot be left unattended and therefore should be put out when you go to bed for the night.

• We are eco-friendly and do not permit garbage, food, cans or bottles to be burned in your fire pit. If we need to clean out your fire pit for these reasons you will be charged a cleanup fee.

• Wood can be purchased from our main office. Wood is NOT permitted to be brought in from outside of the park at any time because we do not know where it came from. Provincial law prohibits the transfer of firewood to different counties ( https://novascotia.ca/natr/forestprotection/dont-move-firewood.asp ). We do abide by the Department of Natural Resources daily burn policies, therefore, no campfires from 8 am to 2 pm daily. They update their website at 2 pm daily . Disobeying fire ban rules could result in a fine up to $450.00

• Please do not pick any flowers, plants, cut down any of our trees or burn any dead branches or leaves. The Ovens Park maintains a fragile eco-system, any unnecessary disturbance will not be tolerated and we do enforce this policy.

• Any vandalism to property or buildings will result in a minimum fine of $150.00.

• Quiet time is from 11 pm to 9 am, no fires burning after midnight. Please be respectful of your fellow campers.

• Check in for tents/RV's is any time after 1 pm and for Cabins is any time after 4 pm and preferably before 8 pm. If you expect to be later, please call and inform the office. If you are expecting to arrive early, please contact the office so that we may inform you about our early check-in fees. Check-out for all is by 11 am

• If a site has been abandoned or if you have not shown up on the day of your reservation without notice and we cannot reach you, we reserve the right to release that site/cabin after 24 hours.

• Alcohol, smoking of any kind (cannabis, cigarettes, e-cigarettes) should be limited to your sites only. No smoking in the cabins. No smoking or alcohol permitted on the trails, playground and pool areas. We do have “Butt" buckets placed around the parking lot, please use them but we would rather you take them with you.

• Drones are NOT permitted anywhere in the park.

• We love our 4-legged friends but we do have a 2 pet per site maximum policy with a $5.00 per night/per pet fee for camp sites, $30.00 for cabins. Pets must be leashed and picked up after, please do not leave your pets unattended. Please be courteous to your neighbours

• There is no guest access at this time to our main building to view the museum, offices, and animal farm.

• For the last 2 years we have abided by Dr. Strang’s health directives and will continue to do so.

              Dogs are permitted in the park and must be kept on a leash at all times.  Please pick up after your four-legged friend and dispose of in the garbage cans located throughout the park.

• Fee of $12.00 Charged Per Extra Adult; 4 Adults Maximum Per Site (in the same family) and a fee of $6.00 Charged per extra Child; $5.00 Charged per pet per day (max. 2)

• Park Admission included with all tenting sites, including access to the gold-panning beach and sea cave trail.

• One Car permited per Camp Site. All cars must be registered at the Front Gate, providing license plate number, colour, and make/model. $7.50 Per Additional Vehicle and must be parked in assigned area.

Non Serviced Site Rates - Nightly (Per Tent) $44.00

Rates Include up to 2 adults, 3 children under 16 and 1 vehicle.

(Sites in this catagory include the 100's, 200's, and 600's) ***NOTE: sites 132 - 138 are walk-in sites only, no vehicles permitted)

• Single Site Accommodates: A Family of 2 Adults and 3 Children under 16, 1 vehicle.

• Fee of $12.00 Charged Per Extra Adult; 4 Adults Maximum Per Site (in the same family) and a fee of $6.00 Charged per extra Child; $5.00 Charged per pet per day (max. 2)
